LITERATI PRESS AUTHOR EVENT / EXHIBIT

Join us at Literati Press in Oklahoma City. Sean Fitzgibbon will be signing books and discussing his new graphic nonfiction What Follows Is True: Crescent Hotel. Pick up your copy of this beautiful, haunting, and unique hardcover book and meet the author! Also, original pages from the book will be on display through the month of April in the Literati Press Gallery / Paseo Plunge, in the center of the state’s oldest arts district.

In What Follows Is True: Crescent Hotel, Fitzgibbon tells the story of the Crescent Hotel, starting with the first visit with his family to the hotel when he was a child. He depicts the mythologies surrounding the Crescent Hotel’s strange years as the Baker Hospital, a Depression Era cancer hospital in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. This story is told using classic illustration skills blended with fine art compositions that produce atmospheric imagery, transporting readers into the hotel’s dark and bizarre past.
