Magic City Books is thrilled to welcome Sean Fitzgibbon for an in person event to celebrate his graphic non-fiction work, What Follows is True: Crescent Hotel, on Wednesday March 8 at 7:00 pm in the Algonquin Room at Magic City Books.
Artist Sean Fitzgibbon explores unusual, real places and events through his work. His documentary-style graphic nonfiction, What Follows is True, explores the Crescent Hotel’s strange two years as the Baker Hospital, one of the darkest and most controversial legends in the town of Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

OLLI PRESENTATION
On March 16 I’ll be giving an author talk with the University of Arkansas OLLI Osher (Lifelong Learning Institute) organization. I’ll be discussing my journey as an artist as well as my book along with the process of creating a graphic nonfiction. OLLI at the U of A is a local service organization providing learning opportunities, cultural programs and social activities for adults. Thanks to assistant OLLI director Sandra Sawyer.

ESHM: BAKER HOSPITAL EXHIBIT EXTENDED THROUGH APRIL
The Eureka Springs Historical Museum is hosting a very special temporary exhibit showcasing the infamous Baker Hospital! This short-lived venture only operated inside the Crescent Hotel from 1937 to 1940, but it left quite the impression with its unconventional medical treatments.
The exhibit will feature artifacts, images, and rare documents highlighting the life and tumultuous career of Norman Baker and his phoney cancer hospital here in Eureka Springs.
In addition to the historical artifacts that will be on display for the Baker Hospital exhibit, we are also thrilled to welcome local author and illustrator Sean Fitzgibbon to the exhibit of his stunning new graphic novel What Follows is True: Crescent Hotel. Some of his framed original art from the book will be on display as part of the exhibit. The Baker Hospital exhibit will be on display through the April!
