EUREKA SPRINGS HISTORICAL MUSEUM: BOOK LAUNCH & BAKER HOSPITAL EXHIBIT

On November 2, 2022, from 5pm to 7pm, the Eureka Springs Historical Museum will be hosting a very special opening reception for our new temporary exhibit showcasing the infamous Baker Hospital! This short-lived venture only operated inside the Crescent Hotel from 1937 to 1940, but it left quite the impression with its unconventional medical treatments.

The exhibit will feature artifacts, images, and rare documents highlighting the life and tumultuous career of Norman Baker and his phoney cancer hospital here in Eureka Springs.

SEAN FITZGIBBON BOOK LAUNCH

In addition to the historical artifacts that will be on display for the Baker Hospital exhibit, we are also thrilled to welcome local author and illustrator Sean Fitzgibbon to the museum to launch his stunning new graphic novel "What Follows is True - Crescent Hotel."

Sean will be on-site during the Baker Hospital opening reception to answer questions about his book and artwork, and some of his framed original art from the book will be on display as part of the exhibit.

Can't make it to the reception? No problem; the Baker Hospital exhibit will be on display through the winter!
