A few months ago I did some line illustration work for the Arts Memphis new identity project Memphis Hop showcasing the city's energetic and individualized culture ranging from attractions such as STAX, Graceland, and the Memphis Zoo. Here are a few examples from this project. After the initial sketch, pen and ink contour lines were drawn using mostly one wirelike, continuous line and then converted from black and white to color for various banners, billboards and various other signage throughout Memphis. Project was in collaboration with Ryan Slone of DOXA and Arts Memphis.
