MODUS STUDIO: PK 17

Join us at Modus Studios on Friday, May 3rd, from 6-9 p.m.for PK 17. It's a completely free community event with free food and beverages. Pecha Kucha is the Japanese word for chit-chat that describes a presentation style in which a speaker shares 20 slides on a topic of their choice for 20 seconds per slide. I’ll be giving a quick talk on creating my fully illustrated, graphic nonfiction book “What Follows Is True: Crescent Hotel”.

BEST INDIE BOOKS OF APRIL

What Follows Is True: Crescent Hotel was voted one of the best indie books of April 2024 by Kirkus Reviews. In January the book received the Kirkus Review star of exceptional merit. Kirkus has been the industry-renowned resource among authors, publishers, the media, libraries, booksellers, and readers since 1933. Kirkus describes the book as "A gripping, moody, illustrated chronicle of the notorious Crescent Hotel".

MT SEQUOYAH EXHIBIT ENDS SOON

The exhibit at Mt Sequoyah ends on April 18. Visit Sequoyah Hall Gallery to examine the original illustrated pages for Sean Fitzgibbon’s illustrated, nonfiction book “What Follows Is True: Crescent Hotel”.
